Bajaj Finserv reported a 12% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹3,132 crore for the first quarter of fiscal 2027, ending June 2026.

Revenue from operations expanded more sharply, rising 19% to ₹42,037 crore, underscoring robust top-line growth across its lending and insurance subsidiaries.

The results follow a strong performance from the group’s key subsidiary, Bajaj Finance, which recently saw its shares climb more than 6% to a 52-week high of ₹1,122.

Beyond the financials, the company’s board approved a strategic entry into the reinsurance business.

The move signals an intent to deepen its presence in the insurance value chain, potentially capturing higher-margin wholesale risk transfer opportunities alongside its existing general insurance and life insurance operations.

The results follow a strong performance from the group’s key subsidiary, Bajaj Finance, which recently saw its shares climb more than 6% to a 52-week high of ₹1,122.30 on the back of a 29% surge in standalone net profit.

The broader Bajaj conglomerate is also seeing momentum elsewhere, with Bajaj Consumer Care delivering record quarterly sales growth of 28.3% in the same period.
