Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) has secured a new defence contract worth ₹847 crore, the company announced in a regulatory filing on Friday evening.

The order adds to a robust pipeline for the Navratna public sector undertaking, which has already booked significant deals in recent months.

The latest win follows a ₹572 crore order in July and a larger ₹1,081 crore contract in June.

This consistent flow of business underscores the Indian government's continued push to indigenise defence procurement, with BEL positioned as a key beneficiary of domestic manufacturing mandates.

Investor attention is expected to focus on BEL shares when markets open on Monday, August 3.

The stock has been a point of interest for traders tracking the defence sector's momentum, particularly given the company's role as a primary supplier for the Indian armed forces.
