Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has won a contract to supply eight gas turbine generator packages to Nigeria's Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals Free Zone Enterprise.
The state-owned Indian engineering firm will also provide commissioning supervision for the equipment, which is destined for the refinery's petrochemical facility.
The order underscores the ongoing capital intensity of the Dangote project as it seeks to stabilize operations and expand downstream capabilities.
The refinery, located in Lekki, Lagos, has been a focal point for energy infrastructure investment in West Africa, aiming to reduce Nigeria's reliance on imported refined products while building an export-oriented petrochemical hub.
