The Development Bank of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Razvojna banka FBiH) has launched a new credit line totaling 15.4 million convertible marks (approximately €7.7 million) dedicated to supporting the green transition of the local economy.

The facility is designed to finance projects focused on energy efficiency and the deployment of renewable energy sources within the Federation of BiH.

50%, which is significantly below prevailing market rates for corporate lending in the region.

A key feature of the new instrument is its fixed interest rate of 2.50%, which is significantly below prevailing market rates for corporate lending in the region.

This pricing structure aims to reduce the cost of capital for businesses undertaking energy-saving retrofits or investing in clean energy infrastructure, thereby improving the financial viability of such projects.

The launch of this credit line aligns with broader regional efforts to meet environmental standards and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.

By providing accessible, low-cost financing, the bank seeks to stimulate private sector investment in sustainable technologies, which has historically been constrained by high borrowing costs and limited access to green capital in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
