BRAC Bank PLC has signed a memorandum of understanding with OneTrueValue (OTV), an investment management and advisory firm, to broaden access to green financing for small and medium-sized enterprises in Bangladesh.
The partnership aims to leverage OTV’s expertise in sustainability advisory to help SMEs meet environmental standards and secure funding for eco-friendly projects.
The agreement comes shortly after the European Investment Bank (EIB) signed a €60 million loan with BRAC Bank to finance environmentally friendly investments in the country.
The agreement comes shortly after the European Investment Bank (EIB) signed a €60 million loan with BRAC Bank to finance environmentally friendly investments in the country.
That earlier deal was designed to accelerate the lender’s green transition and support its broader mandate of serving the "missing middle" — businesses that have outgrown microfinance but lack access to traditional corporate banking.
Founded in 2001 under the leadership of Sir Fazle Hasan Abed, BRAC Bank has positioned itself as a key financier for SMEs in Bangladesh.
The new collaboration with OTV, an entity of Truvalu Bangladesh, underscores the bank’s strategy to integrate sustainability metrics into its lending portfolio.
