Brazil’s aviation sector delivered a strong financial performance in 2025, with carriers posting a combined net profit of R$4.3 billion ($830 million).
The results coincide with a historic milestone for the industry: domestic passenger traffic surpassed 100 million for the first time, according to data from the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac).
The profitability surge underscores the resilience of Brazil’s domestic travel market, which has been a key driver of economic activity in the region.
The record traffic levels suggest sustained consumer demand and operational efficiency gains across major carriers, including LATAM, GOL, and Azul.
This positive trend aligns with broader macroeconomic indicators showing strength in Brazil’s economy.
Recent data from the Receita Federal indicated that federal tax collections hit a record BRL 266.8 billion in May, reflecting a real-term increase of 10.7% year-on-year.
