Posted: Friday, July 24, 2026 1:18 pm Views: 4 By Zoila Palma: Today, the Cayo Central Youth in Agriculture Summer Camp hosted by Minister of State in the Ministry of Agriculture Alex Balona came to a successful close with a certificate distribution ceremony, where participants were recognized for completing a week of hands-on agricultural training.
Balona encouraged young people to pursue careers in agriculture and take the opportunity to gain hands-on knowledge and experience in livestock production.
Activities included learning about crop production, livestock management, and other essential farming practices in Central Farm.
Each participant received a certificate of completion along with a backpack with school supplies to support them as they prepare for the upcoming school year.
The summer camp encourages the next generation of farmers and agricultural professionals in Belize.
