The Cyprus Union of Shipowners (CUS) has commended the country's performance during its recent six-month presidency of the Council of the European Union, stating that the term significantly strengthened Cyprus' maritime influence on the European stage.
The presidency concluded on June 30, marking the end of a period where Nicosian officials prioritized key industry concerns within EU legislative frameworks.
According to the CUS, the administration successfully advanced critical pillars of the global shipping strategy, with a particular focus on sustainability measures and safe navigation protocols.

This endorsement comes as Cyprus continues to double down on its role in international maritime policy.
