Dhaka Bank PLC has entered into a credit guarantee agreement with the Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) under the Credit Enhancement Scheme (CES).

The partnership aims to deepen financial inclusion by expanding access to capital for marginal and small-scale enterprises across Bangladesh.

The move aligns Dhaka Bank with a broader sector trend of leveraging state-backed guarantees to mitigate lending risk.

NCC Bank PLC recently secured a similar CES agreement for the 2026-27 fiscal year, signaling coordinated efforts among major lenders to broaden institutional financing opportunities for underserved borrowers.

This development underscores the growing role of public-private partnerships in Bangladesh's financial sector.

By sharing risk with PKSF, banks can extend credit to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) that might otherwise face stringent collateral requirements.
