Dhaka Bank PLC has entered into a master trade loan agreement with Mashreq, one of the United Arab Emirates' largest financial institutions.

The deal is designed to facilitate cross-border trade and strengthen the bank's access to international financial support.

Sharifa Mohamed, regional head of financial institutions for Asia at Mashreq, and Osman Ershad Faiz, managing director of Dhaka Bank PLC, signed the agreement at the bank's head office in Dhaka.

The partnership underscores Dhaka Bank's strategy to deepen its international banking relationships and enhance its trade finance capabilities.

This development follows Dhaka Bank's recent efforts to expand its financial inclusion initiatives, including a credit guarantee agreement with the Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) under the Credit Enhancement Scheme.

The new arrangement with Mashreq complements these domestic efforts by providing a robust framework for international trade transactions.
