DPD Ireland has announced a €10 million investment to expand its warehousing and logistics infrastructure in Dublin, a move that will create 200 new jobs.

The delivery firm stated that the capital expenditure is driven by continued strong performance across its Irish operations, necessitating greater capacity to handle parcel volumes.

The expansion underscores the resilience of the logistics sector in Ireland, even as other industries face contraction.

The announcement comes shortly after reports that technology services firm Genpact is set to eliminate approximately 90 positions at its Dublin-based hub in Sandyford.

While Genpact’s restructuring reflects broader pressures in the tech services market, DPD’s hiring spree highlights sustained demand for physical distribution networks.

For investors tracking the Irish economy, the divergence between logistics growth and tech sector consolidation offers a nuanced view of labor market dynamics.
