Eco-Shop Marketing Bhd reported a 44.9% year-on-year increase in net profit for the fourth quarter of 2026, reaching RM72.63 million.
The result compares to RM50.12 million in the same period a year earlier, marking a significant acceleration in earnings for the Malaysian retailer.
The profit surge was underpinned by improved operating margins and the continued rollout of new store locations.
Management attributed the stronger performance to the absence of one-off items that had weighed on the prior-year comparison, alongside organic growth from its expanding footprint.
The results highlight the resilience of Malaysia's consumer sector as retailers leverage scale and operational efficiency to drive bottom-line growth.
Eco-Shop's ability to expand margins while opening new stores suggests a favorable balance between growth investment and profitability.
