Finolex Cables is positioning itself to capture the infrastructure investment cycle in Karnataka, identifying data centres and semiconductor projects as primary growth drivers for its communication and power cable divisions.

The company’s strategy aligns with the state’s aggressive push to establish itself as a hub for high-tech manufacturing and digital infrastructure.

Amit Mathur, President of Sales and Marketing at Finolex, indicated that the firm is betting on this regional expansion to fuel its next phase of growth.

The move reflects a broader trend among Indian industrial suppliers seeking to capitalize on the capital expenditure wave associated with the country’s semiconductor and data centre ambitions.

This development occurs as the Karnataka government confirmed that its 200-acre KWIN City semiconductor park is on track to become operational by December.

The timeline, announced by Industries Minister MB Patil, marks a concrete milestone for the state’s industrial policy and suggests a near-term acceleration in construction-related demand for electrical and communication infrastructure components.
