First Abu Dhabi Bank (ADIB), the United Arab Emirates' largest bank by assets, reported a 4% increase in second-quarter net profit on Thursday.
The lender's earnings for the three months ended June 30 rose to 5.72 billion dirhams ($1.56 billion), compared with 5.51 billion dirhams in the same period last year.
The improvement was primarily driven by higher operating income, reflecting sustained revenue generation across its core banking segments.
The results underscore the resilience of the UAE's banking sector amid a stable macroeconomic environment.
As the region's dominant financial institution, ADIB's performance often serves as a barometer for broader credit conditions and corporate lending activity in the Gulf.
The modest profit growth suggests steady demand for banking services, even as global interest rate dynamics continue to evolve.
