Flybondi has resumed flight operations after a two-week grounding, marking a tentative return to service for the Argentine low-cost carrier.
The restart follows a newly reached agreement with state-owned energy company YPF regarding the supply of aviation jet fuel, which had been a critical bottleneck for the airline.
Despite the resumption, operational capacity remains severely constrained, with only four aircraft currently active and one additional plane expected to join the fleet over the weekend.
Seven flights were still canceled on the day of the restart, underscoring the fragility of the recovery.
The partial return to service comes after Flybondi suspended all scheduled flights and grounded its crew in early July, a move that signaled a deepening crisis for the carrier.
The airline, once considered a flagship of Argentina’s low-cost aviation sector, has struggled with liquidity and supply chain pressures that forced the complete halt of operations since July 3.
