Healthcare-focused private equity firm Genesis Capital has conducted a detailed review of Mayne Pharma's Salisbury manufacturing facility in South Australia, according to reports from the Australian Financial Review.

The assessment of the plant, which was central to Cosette's abandoned $672 million acquisition attempt earlier this year, signals renewed interest in the company's tangible assets despite the lack of a formal offer.

IDT Australia, an ASX-listed pharmaceutical micro-cap, was previously identified as the first party to evaluate the facility, but Genesis Capital's involvement suggests broader market appetite for Mayne's operational infrastructure.

The renewed scrutiny of the Adelaide plant comes as Mayne Pharma faces mounting pressure from investors to restructure.

Shareholders have increasingly called for a break-up of the company, citing persistent underperformance of its shares.

The push for structural change reflects frustration with the current corporate form and a desire to unlock value from specific business units, particularly its manufacturing capabilities.
