The Ghanaian cedi displayed a split performance on Monday, holding steady in the retail segment while weakening in the interbank market.
The retail exchange rate remained unchanged at an average of GH¢12.05 against the US dollar, providing a buffer for consumers and importers relying on official channels.
However, the interbank rate slipped to GH¢12.20, reflecting underlying pressure in the wholesale market.
The euro also edged lower against the cedi, trading at GH¢13.65 compared to GH¢13.70 previously.
