Gold and silver prices closed the week on higher ground, though the broader trend for precious metals remains ambiguous.

Gold settled at $4,053 per ounce, marking a 0.9% weekly gain, while silver outperformed with a 4.1% rise to $58.20 per ounce.

In domestic markets, gold futures also advanced, climbing 1.6% to ₹1,43,106 per 10 grams.

The modest gains come after a period of volatility in the metals complex.

Base metals, including copper, aluminum, and zinc, have recently traded in tight ranges, lacking directional momentum as geopolitical risks in the Middle East continue to influence investor sentiment.

While gold had previously extended losses, the recent uptick suggests a stabilization in safe-haven demand, even if conviction remains limited.
