Gold and silver prices advanced in morning trading on India’s Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Monday, driven by a combination of falling crude oil prices and a weakening US dollar.

The precious metals sector is benefiting from the cross-asset shift, with lower energy costs and reduced currency headwinds providing support for bullion and white metal futures.

The move marks a continuation of the rebound seen in precious metals, following a decisive rally earlier in the week that saw prices jump up to 2% on Friday.

The MCX gold August contract rose approximately 0.50% to trade at ₹1,43,784 per 10 grams.

Silver showed stronger momentum, with September futures jumping more than 1% to ₹2,24,550 per kilogram.

The move marks a continuation of the rebound seen in precious metals, following a decisive rally earlier in the week that saw prices jump up to 2% on Friday.

The rally comes amid a pause in hostilities involving the US, which has contributed to a significant drop in crude oil prices.
