Gold futures on India’s Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) fell ₹1,213 to settle at ₹1,41,850 per 10 grams on Tuesday, marking a 0.85% decline in a session with a business turnover of 759 lots.

The drop reflects persistent pressure from weak spot demand, which has been a recurring headwind for domestic gold prices in recent trading sessions.

Globally, the yellow metal also faced selling pressure, with New York futures declining 0.85% to $4,041.42 per ounce.

The synchronized move across international and domestic benchmarks underscores a broad-based pullback in sentiment, rather than a localized currency or regional effect.

This latest decline extends a multi-day downward trend for Indian gold futures.

On Thursday, MCX contracts had already slipped ₹166 to ₹1,44,264 per 10 grams, driven by a noticeable lack of spot demand.
