Halliburton has secured a multi-year integrated drilling and completions contract for TotalEnergies' GranMorgu project in Suriname.
The award covers well construction for what is set to be Suriname's first major offshore oil development, a project with an estimated capital expenditure of US$10.5 billion.
The Rio Times reported the contract win on Monday.
The deal underscores Halliburton's expanding footprint in high-growth offshore markets.
The company recently announced a joint management agreement with Iraq's state-run Basra Oil Company to develop two key oilfields in the country's south.
These consecutive wins in Suriname and Iraq highlight a strategic push by US oilfield services giants to capture market share in emerging basins where production growth is accelerating.
