Shares of ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company (AMC) fell 2.11% to ₹3,138.10 on the National Stock Exchange on Tuesday, following the release of quarterly earnings that missed market expectations due to rising costs.
The decline came despite the Mumbai-based asset manager reporting a 23% year-on-year increase in net profit for the first quarter of fiscal 2027, reaching ₹964.63 crore.
The profit growth was offset by concerns over cost inflation, which pressured margins and triggered immediate selling interest among traders.
Analysts, however, remain constructive on the stock.
Brokerages have maintained bullish outlooks, with target prices suggesting significant upside potential.
The consensus view holds that the underlying asset under management (AUM) growth and the company's market position outweigh the short-term cost headwinds.
