Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) is positioned to raise approximately ₹112 crore from the initial public offering of its spin-off, Indo-MIM Limited.
The university’s stake in the industrial automation and manufacturing firm represents a key monetization event for one of India’s premier technical institutions, highlighting the growing commercialization of academic research assets in the country.
Indo-MIM has fixed the price band for its IPO at ₹461 to ₹485 per equity share, valuing the company at approximately ₹3,812 crore at the upper end of the range.
The subscription window is scheduled to open on July 23, setting the stage for its debut on public markets.
The offering comes as investor appetite for Indian IPOs remains robust, with recent issues such as Advit Jewels attracting intense demand and oversubscription.
The IPO marks a significant milestone for IIT Madras, which has increasingly focused on translating its research capabilities into commercial ventures.
