Gold futures on India’s Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) rose to ₹1,44,090 per 10 grams on Monday, gaining ₹984 from the previous session.

The advance was driven by strong spot demand, which prompted speculators to establish fresh long positions in the futures market.

The price movement reflects sustained buying interest in Indian bullion markets, with traders adding to positions amid firm physical demand.

This follows a period of volatility, including a sharp rally to ₹1,47,710 per 10 grams earlier in the week, before prices consolidated.

The rise to ₹1,44,090 marks a significant step up from the ₹1,41,200 level seen in recent trading sessions, indicating renewed momentum in the sector.

Speculative activity has been a key driver, with market participants positioning for further gains based on underlying demand strength.
