Construction of Indonesia's Dumai–Sei Mangkei (Dusem) natural gas pipeline has reached 32% physical completion, according to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
The 535-kilometer National Strategic Project is currently on schedule for completion in early 2028.
Recent reports have highlighted new gas production from the Sisi Nubi field, which is now outputting 100 million standard cubic feet per day.
The pipeline is designed to transport natural gas from the Dumai terminal in Riau to the Sei Mangkei industrial area in North Sumatra.
By connecting these key energy hubs, the infrastructure aims to secure a stable supply of feedstock for power plants and manufacturing facilities in one of the country's most active industrial corridors.
This development aligns with broader efforts by Indonesia's upstream regulator, SKK Migas, to enhance domestic gas availability.
