IndusInd Bank has launched a direct integration with the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), enabling Indian employers to process statutory provident fund contributions through the lender's digital channels.
The new functionality allows organizations to select IndusInd Bank directly on the EPFO portal and complete payments using the bank's Corporate Internet Banking and Mobile Banking applications.
The development places IndusInd Bank alongside peers such as IDFC FIRST Bank, which recently launched a similar real-time PF payment service.
By bringing one of the country's most widely used statutory payments onto its digital rails, IndusInd aims to streamline payroll compliance for corporate clients and deepen engagement with its business banking segment.
This integration reflects a broader trend among Indian private lenders to embed regulatory payment flows into their core banking platforms.
As competition for corporate deposits and transaction fees intensifies, banks are increasingly leveraging government-linked payment ecosystems to lock in client relationships and increase transaction volume.
