ITC Ltd’s agricultural business has doubled its revenue to nearly ₹20,300 crore over the past five years, solidifying its position as India’s largest private-sector agri-enterprise.

The growth underscores the conglomerate’s successful diversification strategy, moving beyond its traditional tobacco core to capture value in the broader food and farming supply chain.

Chairman and Managing Director Sanjiv Puri highlighted the expansion of ITCMAARS, the company’s digital farming platform, as a key driver.

The initiative focuses on precision agriculture and extended farmer outreach, leveraging technology to improve yield and supply chain efficiency.

This digital transformation aligns with ITC’s broader operational goals to integrate smallholder farmers into a structured, high-value ecosystem.

The agri-business surge complements ITC’s long-term vision for the Indian fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
