JSW Steel has secured board approval to participate in the initial public offering of its subsidiary, JSW One Platforms Ltd (JOPL), as a selling shareholder.
The company plans to offload equity stakes worth up to ₹811 crore in the proposed listing, marking a strategic monetization of its digital and platform assets.
JSW Steel reported a consolidated net profit of ₹4,696 crore for the quarter ended June 30, more than doubling the ₹2,209 crore recorded in the same period last year.
The move signals continued capital discipline within the JSW Group, which has been active in raising equity across its portfolio.
Earlier this year, sister company JSW Infrastructure completed a ₹7,503 crore Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP), one of the largest fundraises in the Indian infrastructure sector.
JSW Steel’s stake sale in JOPL follows a similar pattern of leveraging public markets to optimize capital structure.
