The National Treasury recently failed to meet its revised tax revenue target for the 2025/26 financial year, falling short by nearly Sh7 billion.

The miss highlighted persistent difficulties in revenue collection, even as the Kenya Revenue Authority reported a 10.6% increase in total collections to KSh 2.84 trillion during the same period.
