Kiambu County has collected KSh 6.5 billion in own-source revenue during the 2025/2026 financial year, setting a new record for the region since the introduction of devolution in 2013.
The figure represents the highest amount ever raised by the county government from internal sources, according to reports from the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation.

This development comes as broader economic indicators in East Africa show resilience.
