Kusumgar Limited shares posted a sharp gain on Indian stock exchanges, trading more than 48% above their initial public offering price.

The engineered fabrics manufacturer saw its stock extend gains on Wednesday, reflecting sustained buying interest following its market debut.

The listing premium underscores the strong demand the company attracted across investor categories during its IPO window.

According to Hindu Businessline, the robust subscription levels translated into immediate upside for early buyers as the stock found its market-clearing price on the National Stock Exchange and Bombay Stock Exchange.

Kusumgar had opened its IPO to public subscription earlier in July, with the issue remaining open for several days before closing.

The company, known for its engineered fabric products, has been expanding its market presence, and the successful listing provides a benchmark for valuation in the sector.
