Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has reaffirmed the strategic importance of the Abadi Masela Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) project, framing its realization as a cornerstone of national development.
The president emphasized that the National Strategic Project (PSN) must deliver mutual gains, reinforcing the government's commitment to advancing the massive energy infrastructure initiative.
Handelsavisen previously reported that Indonesia tightened its LNG price cap to $13/MMBtu to protect manufacturers, a move that underscored the tension between domestic affordability and export competitiveness.
The Abadi Masela gas field, valued at approximately Rp355 trillion ($23 billion), has already commenced construction.
The project is designed to bolster Indonesia's LNG production capabilities, addressing both domestic supply needs and export potential.
