The MOEX Russia Index recovered from an early session dip below 1,900 points to close Monday's main trading session at 2,000.83, a gain of 2.16%.

The dollar-denominated RTS Index also advanced, rising 2.27% to finish at 804.77 points.

The rally extends a broader positive trend for Russian equities, which also saw a 1.39% gain on Wednesday, lifting the MOEX to 2,220.77 points.
