Montenegro's ruling Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) has formally proposed amendments to the Law on Civil Servants that would raise the mandatory retirement age for public sector employees to 67.

The proposal, announced by DPS parliamentarian Zoja Bojanić-Lalović, aims to align the country's civil service exit rules with longer life expectancies and reduce the fiscal burden on the state pension system.
