The establishment features around three thousand product references distributed across various sections.
According to the director of the Mega Group, João Seara, the commitment to national products seeks to contribute to the valorization of Mozambican production and reduce the impacts of import difficulties for certain goods.
The opening of the unit allowed for the creation of 29 direct jobs, which are joined by five new positions in the administrative and operations support area.
According to the company, the new space was designed to respond both to customers who purchase in large quantities and to consumers who want to acquire products individually. The cash and carry model provides differentiated conditions for case-purchases, while also maintaining standard supermarket operations.
Among the most prominent areas are the frozen products section and the wine selection, which the company considers one of the main segments of the new unit.
Regarding prices, João Seara stated that the company conducted market studies with the objective of offering competitive rates.
With this investment, the Mega Group expands its commercial network in Mozambique and reinforces its presence in the food distribution segment.
