Naturis Cosmetics has secured ₹100 crore ($12 million) in a new funding round led by Sharrp Ventures, the Hindu Businessline reported.
The Indian contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) plans to deploy the capital to expand its manufacturing footprint and establish an original design manufacturing (ODM) platform.
The investment underscores growing investor appetite for specialized manufacturing capabilities within India’s beauty and personal care supply chain.
By moving into ODM, Naturis aims to offer clients more comprehensive product development services, moving beyond pure contract manufacturing to include design and formulation support.
This development aligns with broader trends in the Indian consumer goods sector, where private equity and venture capital are increasingly targeting mid-market manufacturers.
The funding comes as other players in the adjacent hygiene and personal care manufacturing space, such as Swara Baby Products, pursue public listings to raise capital for expansion.
