Newgen Software Technologies reported a strong start to fiscal 2027, with profit after tax jumping 26% year-on-year to ₹63 crore in the first quarter.
The Mumbai-based enterprise software company also posted revenue of ₹357 crore, an 11% increase compared to the same period last year.
The results underscore the growing demand for Newgen’s AI and automation platforms, which the company has been aggressively expanding.
Management highlighted that investments in enterprise innovation and orchestration tools are driving higher margins and customer adoption.
The profit growth outpaced revenue gains, suggesting improved operational efficiency and a favorable mix of high-margin software services.
Newgen’s performance aligns with a broader trend of resilience in the Indian IT sector, where companies focusing on niche enterprise solutions and AI integration are seeing stronger earnings growth than generalist peers.
