The final liquidation of NTC Global Trade Fund has been pushed back to September following a ruling by the Pretoria High Court.

The court granted a postponement to the process but imposed a strict condition on the firm's sole director, Edwin Thabo Letopa, ordering him to personally provide a security deposit of R500,000.

The delay comes as the company continues to navigate business rescue proceedings.

NTC Global Trade Fund is actively opposing the final liquidation, seeking to preserve the entity rather than see it wound up completely.

The court's decision to require a significant personal deposit from Letopa signals judicial caution regarding the firm's ability to meet its obligations during the extended period.

The case remains entangled with the tragic circumstances surrounding the murder of attorney Bouwer van Niekerk in Johannesburg last year.
