NTT has completed the full privatization of NTT Data Group, finalizing a major corporate restructuring that took effect on September 30.

The move brings the IT services subsidiary entirely under the parent company's control, marking the culmination of NTT's global reorganization efforts.

According to Diamond, the strategic shift is designed to position the conglomerate to compete more effectively with large international technology firms.

NTT Data Group President Sasaki indicated that the primary objective of the delisting and subsequent integration is to enable "giant M&A" activity.

By consolidating control, the group aims to streamline decision-making and deploy capital more aggressively in the global technology market.

This structural change removes the friction of minority shareholder interests, allowing the parent company to pursue larger, transformative acquisitions without the constraints of a publicly traded subsidiary.
