Optima Bank has reported record first-half profitability, with net income after tax reaching €104.3 million.

The figure represents a 29% increase compared to the €81.1 million posted in the same period of 2025, marking a significant acceleration in the lender's earnings trajectory.

The bank's efficiency and capital generation metrics also improved sharply.

Return on tangible equity (RoTE) climbed to 27.2%, reflecting strong cost discipline and revenue growth.

This performance underscores the resilience of the Greek banking sector, which has been characterized by robust loan demand and stable funding conditions in recent quarters.

The results were supported by a broad expansion across key balance sheet items.
