Orbia Advanced Materials has reported a significant financial turnaround for the second quarter of 2026, swinging to a net profit of US$15 million from a net loss of US$126 million in the same period last year.

The result marks a decisive shift in the company’s profitability trajectory, underpinned by strong top-line growth and margin expansion.

Revenue for the quarter rose 20% year-on-year to US$2.352 billion, while EBITDA jumped 56%.

The combination of volume growth and cost discipline has allowed the specialty materials producer to return to positive net income after a period of heavy losses.

The improvement suggests that the company’s restructuring efforts and market positioning are beginning to yield tangible financial results.

The performance comes as other industrial and materials companies report mixed results amid shifting demand patterns.
