Paramount Skydance has agreed to postpone the closing of its proposed acquisition of Warner Bros.

Discovery until as late as June 2027.

The extension, which adds several months to the timeline, will ultimately increase the total deal price as the combined entity navigates ongoing legal obstacles.

The delay comes as the transaction faces a fresh legal challenge from a coalition of state attorneys general.

A US federal judge recently extended a temporary injunction blocking the deal, keeping the merger on hold until at least mid-August.

This judicial intervention underscores the regulatory headwinds the company must clear before finalizing the transaction.
