THE Department of Transportation (DoTr) has invited bids for the P514.54-million expansion of Sultan Naga Dimaporo International Port in Lanao del Norte. Contractors have until Aug. 17 to submit proposals for the project, which covers the extension of the reinforced concrete pier with roll-on/roll-off facilities and the construction of passenger and administrative buildings.
The winning bidder must complete the project within 510 calendar days. The government expects the upgraded port to strengthen Northern Mindanao's logistics network and support growing trade activity. Only Filipino-owned firms meeting eligibility requirements may participate. — Ashley Erika O. Jose.
