Powerica Limited has secured a 100MW wind power project from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) at a tariff of ₹3.85 per unit.
The deal marks a significant expansion for the company, which entered the wind power sector in 2008 as an independent power producer before diversifying into EPC contracting and O&M services.
Shares of Powerica rose 2.8% in the session following the announcement.
The price action reflects investor confidence in the company's ability to execute large-scale renewable energy projects amid a competitive bidding landscape.
The win comes as India continues to push for greater renewable energy capacity, with state-owned entities like SECI playing a pivotal role in procuring power from independent producers.
Powerica's entry into this bid highlights the ongoing competition among developers to secure favorable tariffs and long-term contracts.
