Reliance Jio Platform reported a 9% increase in net profit for the latest quarter, driven by continued subscriber additions and rising average revenue per user (ARPU).

The telecom unit’s total revenue grew by 12%, reflecting the strength of India’s consumer base and the operator’s successful push toward higher-value data and value-added services.

The results underscore the resilience of the Indian telecommunications sector, which has been characterized by consistent revenue expansion and a sustained shift toward premiumisation.

Brokerage analysts have previously projected robust growth for the industry, citing strong demand for digital services and the consolidation of market share among leading operators.

This performance comes as Reliance Industries prepares for the initial public offering of its telecom arm.

The parent company recently announced it would waive brand royalty fees for Jio, a move designed to enhance the standalone entity’s profitability and attractiveness to investors ahead of the listing.
