Diesel prices at major filling stations in Romania have surpassed the psychological threshold of 10 lei per litre, marking a new high for the Balkan market.
The increase was implemented Tuesday afternoon by the country's largest fuel retailers, including Petrom, OMV, and Rompetrol, following an earlier hike by Lukoil.
Gasoline prices also rose, crossing the 9 lei per litre mark across the same networks.
The price surge reflects tightening margins and elevated wholesale costs for fuel distributors in the region.
