The SANITAS labor federation has withdrawn from scheduled negotiations with Romania’s Ministry of Labor regarding a new salary law, following a court order that suspended the legislative procedure for the project.
The union’s decision marks a significant escalation in the dispute, moving the conflict from the negotiating table to the judicial arena.
SANITAS President Bogdan Hușanu indicated that the union will challenge the law at the Constitutional Court if it proceeds to parliament, despite the current suspension.
