Consumer prices in Russia rose by just 0.04% during the week ending July 27, a significant deceleration from the 0.17% increase recorded in the prior week, according to data from the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat).

The monthly cumulative rise for July stands at 0.64%, indicating that price pressures have moderated considerably since the start of the month.

This weekly slowdown marks a notable shift in the inflation trajectory.

Earlier in July, consumer prices had climbed by 0.31% during the week ending July 6, following a 0.26% rise in the preceding period.

The recent data points to a stabilization in the domestic price environment, potentially reflecting the lagged effects of monetary tightening or seasonal factors easing supply-side constraints.

Despite the weekly moderation, annual inflation remains a key concern for policymakers.
