A major oil refinery in the Russian city of Saratov has suspended operations following a Ukrainian drone attack, according to media reports.

The facility, a key node in Russia's downstream energy infrastructure, was targeted in an escalation of strikes against Russian energy assets.

The suspension comes amid a broader intensification of Ukrainian military operations targeting Russian energy infrastructure.

Overnight drone attacks in the Saratov region also damaged oil tankers and resulted in at least one civilian casualty, according to reports from TASS.

These incidents underscore the widening scope of strikes on Russian energy logistics and processing capabilities.

The disruption at the Saratov refinery adds to existing supply-side risks in the global oil market.
