Kim Fournais, co-founder and former chief executive of Saxo Bank, has been fully bought out of the company by a Swiss private bank, according to reports from Berlingske.
The transaction removes the original founders entirely from the ownership structure of the Danish online broker.
Fournais will remain with the company in a leadership capacity, taking on the role of chairman.
The buyout represents a significant shift in the corporate governance and ownership landscape of Saxo Bank (SAXOB.OL).
For years, the presence of the founding team in the shareholder register has been a key feature of the company's identity, linking its strategic direction closely to its origins.
With Fournais exiting as a shareholder, the bank moves further away from its founder-led structure toward a more institutional ownership model.
